I really love this little kiosk sitting along the St. Lawrence river. I stop there whenever I walk to the Parc de la Promenade in the town where I live (Candiac, Quebec, Canada).
I have made photos of it in all seasons. During the day, late at night, in the early morning or at sunset. I have photographed it in the fog, and in the snow, dusted with the golden light of the setting sun, or occupied by a group of joyful youth celebrating their friendship.
It may always be the same structure, but each time, it whispers a different song to me.
This time it was about Blue Velvet Nights…

It’s so beautiful in this blue light! And so interesting to see the same sturcture in different environments! Great shot!
Thank you Joanne! The inner lighting was kind of orange, but the DEL lights at the top were blue, although in a much colder shade. I could not think of any other colour than blue for the final image! LOL!

It really is very beautiful indeed. I took shelter in one very like it in a park during a snowstrom in Yorkshire, England some years back….this one is even prettier ….I love the light shining through the ornate lacey roof! xx
Thank you Jane! The Christmas lights at the top give it a magic touch. :-)

Excellent! Beautiful light. Have you thought of making a big poster with all the different views? The local tourist board may be interested… :-)
Hmmm…. The idea seems interesting and I’ll certainly give it some consideration. Thank you George for your comment and suggestion! :-)

LOL!

What a charming spot….funny how these little places catch our eye. Glad it caught yours and you share with us!! Beautiful light…and now I’m singing “Blue Velvet”…LOL!
Thank you Wendi! Well, it did catch my eye, and on several occasions, I must add! LOL! Keep on singing, I found an old recording for you !

Oh I remember this place quite well from an old pic of yours! Love the blueness of the light!
Thank you Vik! It nice that you remember it. I have started to work on a poster with several variations I have of that kiosk, as suggested by our friend George! I will probably complete it when I have more time (in a few days or after Christmas).
