Can you believe that Lisa was really shivering in the studio, and that she managed to acquire goosebumps during our photo shoot? :-)

This is a studio shot of my friend Lisa Bolduc, a young and talented photographer that I met last September at my workplace. We are both attending the same photography school as well, and last week, Lisa has kindly accepted to model for me during a class project on studio portrait.

Lisa has recently opened a RedBubble account, but she has started a new job lately, and has moved to another address, so she has yet to complete her profile and upload some photos.

Focal length 32mm
ISO-100
Aperture f/14
Shutter 1/125 sec.

Shot in a studio using one flash head with a large softbox, plus a hair light and a reflector, on a black seamless background.
Nikon D60

    Pretty expression. Nice hat!

  • Thank you John! I love her expression too, but she thinks that her eye looks too large in this shot. LOL!! I think it’s part of the charm here… :-)

Turn the heating on then!!!! hahaha! Great shot Johanne. What course are you doing?

  • She’s always cold! LOL! I’m doing the Option Pro course which is a package of workshops for the serious amateurs. It gives the the opportunity of exploring various techniques among the most popular on the professional market, and also to quickly familiarize oneself to the craft. It’s 65 hours of class, plus 4 Saturdays or Sundays. We only need to bring a DSLR; all the rest is included (full equipped studios, seamless backgrounds, etc.) It also gives us the privilege of renting the same studios during half a day for only $50.00, and we have a student card which gives us VERY substantial rebates on software like Photoshop and such. :-)
