The Ingénue (pronounced /ˈænʒənuː/) is a stock character in literature, film, and a role type in the theatre; generally a girl or a young woman who is endearingly innocent and wholesome .

Typically, the ingenue is beautiful, gentle, sweet, virginal, and often naïve, in mental or emotional danger, or even physical danger (…) . Wikipedia

My starting image, made as part of my niece's photo shoot At first I thought that I would leave it in B&W, except for Jade's face, but I finally changed my mind, so I applied a copper tone gradient map. Beautiful! Excellent composition and tones. Although something tells me she is not as naive as you portray her… LOL

  • You would be surprised! Less than a year ago, she was still into Walt Disney princesses, The Little Mermaid and cute dolphins… Yes, she has matured quite a lot in those months, but she has not lost all her innocence yet, at least, I hope so… LOL!

Thank you so much for your kind comment, my friend! :-)

Beautiful work my friend!! That’s what I love about photo manipulation…you start out with one idea and end up letting your imagination carry you to new and wonderful places! I love Vikram’s comment too btw….this most definitely has ‘typical Johanne magic’ :)

  • Thank you Ursula! I really love the creative freedom that we have when doing photo manipulation. Do I have to point out that a Typical Ursula Magic also exists under the guise of a little rabbit with a great heart! ;-)

This is a Wonderful photomontage from the Queen of that kind of images. I just love the feeling and the softness you gave to it. The colors you blended together increase the color of her eyes. WOW!!!

  • Thank you Carole! I had tried another colour scheme at first, more in the colours of her eyes, but they did not pop out as much. I really wanted the emphasis on them so I went for the overall earth tones instead. It’s kind of a complimentary colour to her eyes and brings them out very nicely.
