Two things that go perfectly well together, don’t you think?

This is one of my favourite places in my hometown. It’s a park alongside the St. Lawrence river with a great view on downtown Montreal, Quebec (Canada) on the other side.

This picture is gorgous, just like the one in color.

  • Thanks ma soeur! Both are nice, but the B$W gives it a different mood, don’t you think?

I love this – the light is perfect!!
I love that there’s still some detail in the sky.

  • Thank you Vikram! It was just past twilight, and the sky was getting darker, but not pitch black yet. That’s probably why we can still see the details.

  • I couldn’t agree more on the fact that should be in colour. In fact, it is a colour shot converted to B&W for a monochrome challenge in the Mood & Ambiance group. Click on the thumbnail to view the colour photo page:

PS , we where December 31 in the Biodome.. its always SO nice there.. also in the Summer the Botanic Gradens.. Last July; 11 photo friends and I also went to la Ville de Quebec ..
I love Quebec city.. and ile Orlean .. Also a day in Granby ZOO

  • There are so many great photo opportunities here, in the Province of Quebec. When the kids were small, we used to visit the Biodôme every year on a Sunday too cold to play outside. Great souvenirs!

This is beautiful Johanne. What a lovely night shot! I think it works beautifully in b&w!

  • Thank you Ursula! I was looking at my Overview page this morning, and it struck me sa very strange to see all those B&Ws, instead of my usual array of bright colours! :-)
