Thank you Jo! This is accidental. I had made the first photo without the model to gauge the light and various settings while my camera was on the tripod, and did not delete it. When I uploaded the lot from that day’s shoot, I realized that I could use it to make a combination of two shots and create a “real ghost”.

I like this one best of the 3. Love the ghosting it really adds to the image.

  • Thank you Kristen! I would have loved to submit Vanishing in the Graveyard topic in Photocomp, but I thought that some people would think there was too much post processing involved, so I submitted the other one instead. I’m sure that I would have had much better results with Vanishing… Oh well…

I think it would have too. Mine was the vanishing half body. Done with slow shutter speed. I doubt that too many people would question it, but you are right, it might create controversy (unfortunately).

This is so cool. Great work. I really love it. Spooky, yet has lots of emotion.

You know what I like about it too, is the fact that we can’t see her face. So it permits us to use our imagination and see the emotion.

  • Thank you Debbie! I know what you mean; it’s like a sensuality which doesn’t have to be expressed with a stark naked body. I really appreciate your comments, thanks again.
