Friendship is Universal (second version)
Friendship is the most astonishing, inspiring phenomenon!
It can sprout from anywhere, often between the most improbable candidates, and it unites beings from any world.
Friendship knows absolutely no boundaries!
After discussing it with a RB friend, I decided to try another version of this composite, using a different background (a photo of St-Lawrence river in my hometown). The background in the first version made the image look a bit too stiff and artificial, with shadows all in the wrong places.
What’s more, I had used the low resolution JPEG of the horse and dog in the first version, whereas I worked with the RAW file in the the second one.
Thank you George for your great advice and continuous support!
This is the original photo, as is, straight from the camera

ah – interesting! I actually preferred the original to the previous version but now that you’ve opened up the area beneath the horse’s neck, I do prefer having the background in it. Such a gorgeous moment to capture

Thank you Nadine, I’m glad that you like the new version!

Wow this is great Johanne! Love the view behind the friends! And the dog and horse are quite clear! Wonderful work!
Johanne Brunet replied
Thank you Joanne! I think that besides improving the perspective, the tones are matched a little better in this version than in the first one.
