Come Make a Snowdog With Me!
Lucky, our female labrador/german shepherd mix, seems to be pleading with me to go and play with her in the snow. She was moving a lot and I haven’t been able to get a clear sharp shot with her completely in the frame.
I kept this shot anyway just because I love the look in her eyes.
Lucky has been rescued from the shelter in Montreal a year ago by my sister. She was sick with kennel cough and needed a temporary foster family to bring her back to health. One month later, she came to live with us permanently because my sister could not bring herself to send her back to the shelter. We are all very fond of her.

Thank you Shelly! I hesitated a lot before uploading it because of the framing. I would have liked to have at least the ear on the right hand side fully into the frame, but she kept moving in and out of the frame. Oh well…

Thank you Terri! I know what you mean! Their fur is very contrasty when it glistens in the light and it’s difficult to get the whole range of textures, light and shadows.

Yep! It’s exactly what she wanted. She scratched on the door like she does when she wants to come in, but when I opened the door, she stepped back, wagging her tail furiously with a pleading look in her eyes… :-)

She’s beautiful! Lovely to hear a happy ending. I have always taken in rescue dogs. There’s just so many of them in need of a loving home. I think this is a lovely image. You can so obviously see what a happy and stimulated dog she is. Well done!
