    on watercolour paper? that’s far from being smooth isn’t it? How does that work…is the heating no problem.. did you use the swiping effect for the sky?

    Depends on which sort you use , some are very fine,the wax does soak through which evaporates and leaves a stain which is visible if you hold it up to the light , but if you back it with something opaque it wont show ,As far as heat is concerened , you can get it as hot as you like then with plenty of wax colours run well,try to go from light to dark as dark marks are hard to disguise once you have made them , try not to use tissue because the tooth of the paper can break it up leaving bits all over your work. have fun xx

  • Hi Lizz, instead of using tissue i used kitchen cleaning cloths the are called Jay cloth over here but any type of rag will do.
