Thank you Sushikant, yes some mushrooms are splendid.
Pure magic Joel! Excuse my ignorance..is this raw or refined?
Thank you Marian for your nice comment and wonder, yes I did pre-polish this opal from a raw bolder
Beautiful Stone! I used to have a fire opal in matrix till a tornado took all my stones, art, and coins away.I still have lots of stones and Indian Artifacts but I prized that opal.
Thank you Philip for your comment, sound like the force of nature as visited you, I’m sorry for all your lost, sound like some “irreplaceable” part of your life, was it an Australian opal?
Don’t know for sure but I think the Opal came from Mexico. I’ve got some calcite crystals mixed with Iron Pyrite. My sister went on a field trip to Mexico in Geology Class Years ago & she gave me a bunch of stuff. I used to make jewelry but don’t have the time or materials for that any more.
Mexican opals are fairly different from Aussies ones, sound like you had quiet an interest with stones.
We lost everything in the tornado. Most all were irreplaceable.
Life is the most precious of all
My Opal looked similar to yours only smaller. But I lived in a place that had everything from Amethyst crystals to Flourite crystals, Beryl, Aquamarine, Emeralds, Star Rose Quartz, clear quartz crystals. There was a mine near where I lived that had solid white walls about twenty feet high. The walls of the mine were solid white Kayolin Clay. There were aquamarine, beryl, black tourmaline and other types of minerals embedded in the clay. I saw one gem quality beryl crystal that was four feet long that came out of that mine.
