Rainbow Waterfall by Joel Fourcard

Australian Matrix Opal from Yowah , QLD.
This is purely inside a strait Yowah matrix opal seen with a 100mm macro lens.
For the 1st time this last two week I’ve spend a bit of time polishing some bolder matrix opals, it takes an eternity to do with the tools i use, but feel enlightened in a colorful way with the result.
From my point of view, this photo look like a Rainbow Cascade with the pool at the bottom, hum…, will you swim in it too if you could ?

WOW, Joel this is soo beautiful. Colour, form & texture……… Luv it.. Anita
Imagine how long it took for this to form in its natural environment ?

  • Thank you fungifun, [ how long it took for this to form ] some say thousand of years, or millions of years, and some say a matter of month in the right ground condition? I when I look at them they are timeless with all the colors sparkling like stars in our universe, timeless in infinity …
