This insect was seriously checking on my about, there was another smaller insect on the same leaf underneath, perhaps his mate or diner? Northern NSW Australia Canon EOS 1100D Canon 100mm. Macro lens
oh amazing antenna on this fellow! I’ll say he’s a plant muncher…but let me do some research…maybe can help. Any idea what kind of plant they were found on?
Thank you Carla, effectively the antenna are particular, I spend over an hour looking for an ID on the web, it’s probably some kind of leaf Beetle, sorry can’t remember exactly the plant, perhaps an Heliconia or more likely a bird nest fern {Asplenium australasicum} thank you for looking
I’m wanting to say it’s a type of Longhorn Beetle or Longicorn. Unfortunately no luck yet…Still trying!
