WOW, I feel like its been over a year since I have used redbubble. It just about has! I apologize to everyone who has me on my watchlist that I have not kept my portfolio up to date. I’ve had a busy year, and found myself posting pictures on facebook for friends/family to view and leaving it at that.
I will get around to updating my redbubble soon, but for now, I invite everyone to check out my new website. http://www.joelhallphotography.com/ I have work for sale, and also it is up to date with my latest work. So check it out!
Short version: Canoe + Me + falling + camera + iphone = EPIC FAIL!
So I was going to get in this canoe, I put my camera in there, then got in. Well it started going out from under neath me as I was getting in, so I fell backward into the water. Some water got in to the boat, my camera was submerged for a few seconds! I don’t want to even test it to see if it works yet, maybe in a day or two. Also, to make matters worse, my iPhone was in my pocket. It looks like it is toast. It is really hot, like something shorted out inside of it, plus the camera lens on the back, and the main screen have condensation between it. Just as with my camera, I will let it dry for a few days, but I have a feeling the iPhone is toast. The camera could recover. If not I can send it to get fixed I guess. A…
Just wanted to make a shout out to the RedBubble Developer team for a job well done on the new upload page. The fact that the image uploads before the details are entered is genius! The GUI is nicely designed as well. Couldn’t have done better myself :p
Wow, it has been a busy summer! I photographed my first two weddings, and am still processing the photos from the second. Between that and vacation, and everything else I have not been active on Redbubble for a while. As soon as I finish these last wedding photos I’ll start posting again, I have a few shots that are a couple months old that I’ve been meaning to post. And hopefully I can start going back out there and getting some new stuff. Hope everyone else is enjoying their summer!
So I found out today that the house from my Wood Family Farmhouse set was burned to the ground this morning, June 22nd, 2009 . All that remains is two chimneys. I am sure it was arson, but there is no official word yet. It is such a shame, the house had so many untold stories and was full of history. Hopefully this weekend I will get a chance to swing by there and get some photos of whatever may be left.
