Joel, this is just great! I really like the whole set, but this one is a favorite. The sun reflection down to the beach, the water motion around the rocks; everything is just perfect with this. Outstanding!
Joel Hall replied
Thank you so much Kyle! I am glad you like them! :)
Andy Mueller
Joel, I have to say that this one is the favorite out of this series, which all being Top Notch. I love the blue color you captured in the rocks and really like where the reflection of the sun so clearly is defined as it splits into the shadow.

That’s an amazing shot. I have a D90 and I just have to ask, did you bracket by changing exposure with out using the bracketing button. As bracketing on the D90 is limited to 3 frames.
Joel Hall replied
Hey Dan, I did not use the BKT button. That is the one thing that really annoys me about the D90 (the 3 frame limit using the BKT button). I just manually adjust the exposure between each shot. Takes a little longer than using the BKT button, and could cause the camera to move a little but there really is no other choice. Unless I do a 3-exposure HDR.
You would think considering its software driven Nikon could update the firmware to support more than 3 shots using the BKT button, oh well :/
