This photo was taken on 8-23-11 outside a church in Luxemberg, Wisconsin.
I caught-up with the storm as it rumbled into Green Bay, Wisconsin, and followed it as it crossed the Bay of Green Bay. The storm originally had a tornado warning on it, so I started-out looking to get a tornado. But as I approached the storm, I could see that it probably wasn’t going to produce a tornado. So at that point, it was all about the lightning. Once we were both across the bay, I found my spot, and my ideal background (the church), and waited about another hour until the storm passed so that I could catch the lightning on the backside of the storm.
