Oh, I have tried…..there are only so many shots you can get with them sitting still…although ten minutes of him ‘checking me out’ with those eyes, gives you the heebie-jeebies!

thank you, sorry I didn’t see your comment any sooner! This guy was living in my yard for months and never flew when I approached, so I was able to shoot many pictures of him. He is back now, but I have only heard him, yet to see….he’s pretty awesome.
