My photographic journey started when I studied journalism and began working in a newspaper. Because I worked in a small community newspaper I had to take all my own photos, and in doing so, I developed a love of not only news photography, but all aspects of photography.
I got my first SLR for my 21st birthday, which was a Ricoh and have still got it, and since getting a Canon EOS 3000 it has only ever got a B&W film in it.
Since buying my first Canon about 9 years ago, I haven’t looked back, and have gone from Canon to Canon, both in film and the small digitals.
I am currently playting around with an IXUS65, but looking to get a 400D at some stage soon.
Having done a huge amount of travelling, I am looking forward to sharing some of the better photos with you all.
They may not be completely up to selling standards, but hopefully that will soon change.

The First

He had one hand on her waist. The other was in her hair. / Oh God. / Here he was, standing in front of her. Moving closer. His face getting even closer to hers. His soft mouth smiling down at her.

Escape

The lines of water / coursed across the window pane / As the train sped in to the night. / Not wanting to watch the other passengers / She looked past the water to / watch the fields flying past. / T…

The memory of music

It sooths my soul / It dulls the pain / But making me happy / All the same / When I’m sad / and shed a tear / It makes me feel / Like I’m still here. It stirs up memories / Of days gone…

Despair

Without him I am nothing. / He is gone.

Unconditional.

“I love you,” he said, as he turned slowly towards her. / Her chestnut hair sparkled in the sunlight, and as she looked up to no an acceptance that she had heard and understood, her eyes …
