This is a photograph of a button grass flower. I couldn’t believe my luck when I saw this spider web attached to it, blowing in the wind.

Location: Cradle Mountain, Tasmania, Australia

Camera: Canon EOS 60D
Lens: Canon 100mm (macro)

Exposure time: 1/320
F stop: 7.1
ISO: 400
Focal length: 100mm

Photography is my ‘passion’. I studied it in years 11 and 12, where I learned how to processes films in the dark room. Since then, my photography was restricted to digital compacts until I was able to afford an DSLR in 2010.

Until recently I had been doing a PhD in Agricultural Science at the University of Tasmania. I have recently decided that a career in science is not going to make me happy, so I am now studying graphic design.
