Pretty in pink by Jocelyn Parry-Jones

I was attracted to taking this photograph because of the way the light was shining through the mushroom in the dark rainforest. I did not know until I looked at the image on the camera screen that it was in fact pink! I had been looking for purple ones that day, but I was satisfied with pink.

Photography is my ‘passion’. I studied it in years 11 and 12, where I learned how to processes films in the dark room. Since then, my photography was restricted to digital compacts until I was able to afford an DSLR in 2010.

Until recently I had been doing a PhD in Agricultural Science at the University of Tasmania. I have recently decided that a career in science is not going to make me happy, so I am now studying graphic design.
