This photograph was taken from within one of the buildings that comprise what remains of the Larundel mental asylum in Melbourne. Living in Tasmania, I have only been there once and will unlikely be able to visit again as the buildings are soon to be demolished to make way for a housing development. Follow this link for more information about this asylum:

Photography is my ‘passion’. I studied it in years 11 and 12, where I learned how to processes films in the dark room. Since then, my photography was restricted to digital compacts until I was able to afford an DSLR in 2010.
Until recently I had been doing a PhD in Agricultural Science at the University of Tasmania. I have recently decided that a career in science is not going to make me happy, so I am now studying graphic design.
