I took this photograph in 2008 with my compact camera whilst doing a course called ‘Art, Natural Environment and Wilderness’ at the University of Tasmania. When I noticed this golf ball on the beach, I was very excited to see that it had Australia written on it. This golf ball, being litter also blended into the beach to the point where it almost looked as if it belonged. Even this remote place in South East Tasmania was not exempt from the mark of human kind. Whilst this golf ball in itself is not of concern, to me this photgraph is a reminder that many beautiful places in Australia are being damaged as a result of human demands.
