First Annual Easter Melon Hunt by

Jobie has always been a bit of a nontraditional character. In his part time job as the Easter Bovine, he strives to share this outlook with others. In Jobie’s eyes, some traditions can stand a bit of improvement. The Easter egg is one example. Those little critters are a real bugger to find once they’ve been hidden—not to mention all the effort that goes into decorating them and the fact they are such a wee snack! The Easter Bovine has decided that change is long overdue and is preparing for the first annual Easter melon hunt! Melons are far superior because they come in a multitude of colors and designs, not to mention being a far larger and more refreshing snack!

This picture was taken just outside of Miles City, Montana at Jobie’s current residence. Jobie is technically a Black Angus bull, but prefers to be thought of as a Black Angus Terrier—his own special breed.

Jobie is a real life testament to the power of believing you can grow up to be anything you want to be. At 4, he was a model for Crocs knee pads on eBay and, at 5, he published his first book, Dear Grandma . . . Love, Jobie: Letters from a Black Angus Terrier, and was a winner on Red Bubble! No one that spends time with Jobie ever looks at the world in quite the same way again! All of Jobie’s photographs are taken in or just outside of Miles City, Montana—the place he calls home!
