I find solace and bliss in my little studio space on Bruny Island. I am responding to the natural environment that surrounds me through the medium of traditional printmaking. Printmaking is teaching me patience. It can be incredibly frustrating and technical but as I learn more, I am completely intrigued by the processes and variables and the scope for experimentation. I’m slowly building up my tools so that I can work from home and create my prints. I’ve only just touched the tip of the iceberg – I have so much to learn about printmaking and so many different printmaking techniques still to experience. Right now I am dabbling with Collographs. Printmaking soothes my soul.
