Joanne, I sure love the contrast and beautiful blue! Fine work.
Thanks Frannie! This is a popular waterside walking spot behind the church. especially in the summer. I love to come here and observe the birds, nature and of course the lake. But in winter, it is hidden by a mountain of snow, especially this year, and I had to brave the elements in order to get a winter shot!

That looks really cold….excellent detail,Joanne, and this image really draws the eye in…beautiful scene!
The temperature was not bad, but the wind was from the north and glacial! Thanks for the visit and comment Kat!
Beautiful shot Joanne. The crispness makes me feel the cold. Interesting contrast between the metallic (leading lines) fences and the lovely row of “organic” trees.
I am so glad you noticed all the leading lines Elizabeth! This was my entry for a 26 week challenge in 2013. The theme is now leading lines until March and I counted 8 of them in this pix! Thanks Elizabeth!
Outstanding capture Joanne.
Lovely winter scene Joanne …
Very strong composition! You positioned yourself well to take advantage of the fence lines and vanishing point. Too cold for me, though! :)
I didn’t stay long, took maybe 3 shots in this direction, this was the best showing the leading lines, and maybe 3 in the other direction showing the snow squall! It’s a cold snowy winter that is for sure!
Excellent leading lines, Joanne,,,fabulous capture!!
Lovely capture Joanne. Looks like there is a bit of a gust of wind in the middle of the shot.
It was blowing snow! You can see it better in my other image Snow Squall. A strange day of sun, blue sky, high winds and blowing snow! Thanks for the visit and comment Mui-Ling!
Just beautiful Joanne!
