Artist's Description

March 21st 2012
The first spring morning here in my neighborhood on the north shore of Montreal (Laurentians) was sunfilled and foggy. We experienced an unusual week of summer type temperatures in the middle of March, a time when there is still frozen ice on the lakes. Conditions that are ideal for fog, the warm air and the cold water.
The sun was strong as it burned through the fog and illuminated the landscape. You can see ice close to the banks of the islands and beyond in the next small bay. This point is where the Lake of Two Mountains transitions through cascades into the River of Mille Isles.
