A New Day

“The doors we open and close each day decide the lives we live.”
~Flora Whittemore

Nikon D40, Nikkor VR 55-200mm lens

As I made my way to the beach early one morning, I found this at the end of a passage on the third floor of the resort. The sun had just made an appearance and I was in awe of the beautiful light and shadows created by the sunlight through the palm leaves and arched open air window.

Classically beautiful. I winder how many other guests made their way down to the beach that day, oblivious to this stunning beauty, not even pausing a moment, perhaps bickering “I knew you’d gorget the sun tan oil”; “I hope the bloody buffet has something I LIKE for a change”.

It’s so refreshing to see and read about a wonderful vacation experience, one where the essentials ere seen in proper perspective. Something tells me that had it neen raining that day, you would have found something to love about the day – the soothing sound of the raindrops upon the plants below, the solitude which the weather conspired with you to create, just for a while.

I for one am glad you took the time to stop and enjoy…..and most of all, I’m glad that you captured it so we could see it as well. Great job!!!
