Never Surrender

Never Surrender

This old homestead in the Muskoka region of Ontario, refuses to surrender to the elements.

“Under none of the accredited ghostly circumstances, and environed by none of the conventional ghostly surroundings, did I first make acquaintance with the house. I saw it in the daylight, with the sun upon it. There was no wind, no rain, no lightning, no thunder, no awful or unwonted circumstance, of any kind, to heighten its effect.”~Charles Dickens

Joanne, this is a great image and commentary. I also want to tell you how much I appreciate your participation in ImageWriting, it is nice to see your comments congratulating people on their photos when they have been featured. So thank you for that, and thank you for this great work of an old building refusing to surrender. I can relate to that quite often, even though of course I am not a building! – Cora
