The lines are great in this, and I love the contrasting colours of the fish and the water. The more I look at this, the more I see. For instance, there’s a real feeling of depth to the water because of the layers of fish.

Not sure why you shouldn’t upload this one Joanne. It looks like the skin of the Puffa fish when its inflated. I suspect this might be a mass mating & that might explain your husbands thinking & the colour of the water.
Works well as an abstract. Might even sell in a fishy mag on the top shelf.

The hallmark of a great image (for me) is when it instantly makes you think “I wish I could have been there to see that!” This is a fantastic work of art for all the qualities already mentioned and I DO wish I’d seen it! Amazing!

Great shot, great colour contrast, great lines leading the eye into the shot from the bottom right corner and bottom left corner as well. Maybe it didnt rock hubbys boat but its a very good image. A fave. Its a little bit blown in the upper middle right but water and sun will do that sometimes.
Have you tried to fix that?

I agree with you Joanne. It’s a fine image and so interesting how the fish are fanned out.

Hubby was definitely wrong. It’s a wonderful image, full of life and movement. It’s interesting that some birds “dance” in the same highly choreographed way.

It’s so dynamic – I think it’s the spreading “lines” of the fish – I can almost feel their movement in the water.
