Hi,
My name is Joanna and I come from Poland.

I’m a self-taught amateur.
I’ve always loved to take pictures and I was often told that my shots stand out, however at that time I didn’t see myself as a professional photographer and I decided to study Japanese language and culture instead. But things changed when I received my first Japanese scholarship and I started to travel
around Asia. I bought my first simple digital camera and little by little I became more interested in a fine art of photography, started reading photography books and visiting exhibitions. Also I started to enter competitions (I won the first prize in the competition titled “Going nuts” organized by
Oliviero Toscani studio La Sterpaia ) and in particular to actively take part in Flickr. This allowed me to get to know some excellent photographers and
gave the opportunity to see thousands of pictures which have influenced my work.

I enjoy different kinds of photography: landcapes, street-life, travel, fashion, documentary, portraits, fine art of nude photography and motion shots.
The last cathegory is actually my favourite one and I think I’ve managed to develop my own, special style in it, which I call “an emotional blur”.
