My life was revolutionised by a digital camera. Gone was the annual disappointment of collecting 24 holiday snaps from the chemist’s, out of focus, over-exposed and usually missing critical bits.
Now I can take as many photos as I like, and I don’t have to wait for a trip to the seaside. By the laws of averages, I occasionally strike it lucky!
The previous revolution was my daughter, now five, who takes far more original photos than I do, usually in an annoyingly cavalier fashion, and provides a great deal of inspiration…in subject matter, in creative collaborations and in introducing me to bits of Yorkshire I never truly saw before.
