Bluebird on Mormon Row by

There were a bunch of mountain bluebirds flitting around Mormon Row taking advantage of the many insects to be had when I visited in the early afternoon. This bird caught my attention because it’s just now getting its adult plumage. Such a cute little thing.

Grand Teton National Park, August 2009.

Why would a blue bird be blue?
seeing this photo it makes some sense i love the background and how it mimics the colors of the bird on the post.

Yeah, they’re back in the valley right when they should be, Jennifer – about St. Patrick’s Day! They’re my personal “first day of spring”! AMR
