This lone double bassist is taking advantage of the acoustics in the cavernous Bethesda Arcade in Central Park. The tiles in the ornate ceiling above him were installed in the 1860′s, but removed in the 1980′s as they fell into disrepair. The were only recently restored and reinstalled.
