Sunrise between St Mary’s Lighthouse and Curry’s Point, Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear, England. In 1739, Michael Curry, a glass worker from Seaton Sluice, was hanged for murdering a innkeeper near the island. His body was strung from a gibbet within sight of his crime and has been called Curry’s Point since then. X in the sky marks the spot !
