homeless shelter

homeless shelter

while i was exploring this place i saw a number of ratty mattresses and blankets. hard to believe in this day and age that problems like this still exist. i guess as long as homeless people are out of sight, they are out of mind.

companion piece to belly of the beast

Sadly i see a lot of this while out doing the explores myself. Mattresses, some food and drinks containers, old blankets etc are very much far from abnormal. In some places its almost as if the unfortunate homeless person has set themself up a little home with things laid out as if they owned the place.

    Excellently captured shot.

you have my attention now,, this is another powerful shot and words,, I feel you are getting the message out,, this is a sad situation,, and happy that the homeless find the belly of the beast for warmth..what sickens me is poverty doesn’t mean filth,, I could take a place like this and would make it a palace for me, my children or neighbors if necessary,, guess I am a dreamer?? not I am a hard worker and have standards,, no one has too live like this no matter where they lay their head for the night,, I know,, I ask to much… it just doesn’t seem right..oh,, you have me so worked up with these now,, I hope you understand what I am saying,, poor does not mean poverty living,,, guess that’s the standards my grands and parents taught me,, it is a sad day to witness this,, peace and love,, and keep taking these shots,, you got a rise out of me for sure,,, linmarie
