lots of legs

lots of legs by J.K. York

lots of legs

probably my all time favorite from Amsterdam. i liked the tension between the riderless bikes and the bodiless legs. OM-3. Sigma 21mm. HP5 400. please view this in large mode.

Yes J. K. bikes need legs to be mobile, & legs need bodies to be mobile, so you’ve captured a great shot here my friend, & nicely presented in B &W..

A good way to get legs like that is to ride those bikes. Great shot.

I can see how this is your favourite. I’m imagining those poor legs, trapped behind the glass, kicking free and hi-tailing it out of there on those bikes – it’s a shame they’re still missing a vital component. Well spotted!

Looks like something I wish we could adopt here, more reasons to use bicycles than cars… nice composition, and choice of B&W too.

Wonderfully spotted JK! It feels like the legs are just waiting for the opportune moment to break free and make off with the bikes!

Nice one JK, you must have waited a time to ensure there were no people in the shot- perfectly captured.

This was either pure luck or pure genius. Either way it’s great that you caught it. I can see why it’s one of your all time favorites!

I’m glad that someone, above, used the term urban feel because that was my immediate reaction. That familiar feel of Dutch streets. The ever present bikes. The here we are kind of merchandise displays. The always clean and often damp-looking, usually narrow streets. The black and white helps. I reckon.
