In the “clouds”...for sure! We were on the Parkway, and I got several shots, as the fog moved off of the mountain, and then the sun shown brightly and the blue sky appeared! A wonderful place for some of the best images, in the world! Captured perfectly! Have you ever been on top of the Roan Mtn.?

Roan Mountain has its annual mountain laurel/rhododendron festival every June and i try and make it there then. i like the grassy balds in that area of the Blue Ridge.

And it’s always around my “birth date”! We try to get up there too, and I love to walk up to the look out, and look across that “what seems to be, the whole Mtn. range”.. It’s just so gorgeous up there! Have walked across the balds in the high grass, when no one else was there, but me and my husband! A nip in the air… “memories”.. :) Gone across the Mtn. to N. Carolina, and ice frozen where water usually runs down the Mountains. Love it there!
