p.s. why do they call it graveyard falls?

  • J.K. York replied 29 days ago

The area got it’s name years ago from the tree stumps and surrounding trees that looked like grave stones in a graveyard setting. i didn’t make it up! graveyard falls

I want to be able to do this…. SO badly!! But don’t know what setting to use.. on my D50? Jane Best, has some great images of “falls”, and I asked her too.. Hope I can get an answer.. as this is a dream I have. This is SO perfect!!

  • J.K. York replied 17 days ago

the “trick” i guess is to have a neutral density filter to hold back light so you can get the longer exposure. sometimes even a circular polarizer will do as it drops 2 stops. a 4x ND would be my recommendation. try shooting at about 2-10 seconds to get desired “silky” effect. good luck. BM me if you have more questions. cheers!

I have the c. polarizer lens, will try that, using a longer exp. Hope that will work! Thank you Jk!
