James, this is really superb! Excellent composition, and the contrasts and tones are terrific. I like the tight cropping on the top too. This has a real 1950s feel. I love being able to see through the bridge too – that is the visual center of this image. Wonderful work, my friend! Finally, the fires are calming down in my immediate neighborhood…Thank God! Cheers! Chris

I may say a stupidity ..but .. is Ilford 3200 giving this “old sepia” tone, as black and white? .

In any case, this show me how details can be seen … everywhere.. I look on this photo.
    Sincerely beautiful James.

Thanks for adding this to the Bridges Group. Somewhere else much has been written about feelings regarding spending childhood in one country and the rest of the years, in another.
Had a boat-trip through the canals, in 2005, with my cousin, her friend, and my daughter.
Another in1997, with another cousin, my daughter and my son and in 1955, with my teacher and classmates, on a schoo, excursion.
    Great memories.
