I’ve been a bit absentee lately but was strolling through my watch list and spotted this. Gorgeous image!! I love the contrast, lighting and lines. And it’s a bit of a taste for where I’ll be a couple days next month. Notre Dame is on the list of course. :-)
Again, great shot!

Yeah, I reckon this would be a very, very difficult shot given the subject, especially as its an active and probably busy place. Despite that, you really have risen above the challenges and produced a great picture of a great land-mark. The angle, composition, tones and lighting are all perfect as is the way you have only taken the backs of all the worshippers- plus the eye is lead right through the picture via the aisle where you’d walk. Stunning.

Joyce Dickens,...
Very impressive work James, your fantastic perspective really gives dimension to this magnificent structure; your exposure is right on, such beautiful character in those graceful lines of the arches both above and down the walls…..the light on the cross at the altar is perfect and pulls the viewer all the way down through the amazing depth in this priceless image….Bravo!
Jan Piller
Wow – beautiful POV James! I like this in mono too! Sometimes mono pics just “work”. This is one of those!
