    Very nice shot.
The central composition works very well with the glow from the windows, placing the chair at center stage.

The upheavel in this room is so poetic it evokes emotion. The haze on the windows add just the right amount of light through to cast perfect shadows and contrasts. Great eye.

...What Aphrodite said about the upheaval. DId you ever move out of a place you’ve lived in for a long time and, when everything’s gone, just sit there for a while and absorb? I get that feeling here.

This is a great composition, J.K. Really fantastic. I love that this was in Prosperity. Just priceless.

One of the things I’m learning from this is to hold back on the focus. I think this shot works so well for me because of the sense of openness you get in the room. It’s empty. Fitting. If I’d been in that room, I probably would’ve been tempted to tighten in on the spacial field of the windows and chair. But that would’ve lost the effect.

This is a great one to study! Very nicely done.

    Janson.

  • J.K. York replied

thanks for the props my friend. this was even cropped from the original. it was taken during my super wide angle phase when i rarely shot with anything but a 21mm.
