Susan Grissom
Love this…..... great. perspective….looks like the drugs helped
J.K. York replied
thanks Susan, yes pain killers are always nice to have on hand. as for the perspective, it was a matter of necessity as i was without tripod so i took my shirt off, bundled it on the floor and put the camera on it.
Micki Ferguson
this looks like you are laying on the floor pouting because it is probably raining outside. :)
BUT HEY ~ it looks fine in that window.

Sarah Lombart
I really love the angle you chose for this! What a great place…
Kathleen Stephens
Great worm’s eye view of a beautifully lit, very nostalgic room. Including the ceiling added some great lines and textures. Capturing the light reflection on the floor did that as well.
Graeme Pettit ...
Lovely angle and light JK – just above a ‘roaches eye view.
COF was shut bar the main visitor centre when the missus and I went last year – which was a shame – I fancied a good look around, AND had put aside a day to do it expecting much. Long walk in the rain for next to nought, and the dummies shown measuring the trees had the wrong tape (linear rather than girthing – I used to work in the industry). I also felt that half the folk on the staff knew nothing – there was only one guy who had any woodland knowledge. I wrote and offered to come and advise on how it could be improved for visitors, but wasn’t even given the courtesy of a reply – things like machinery displays etc are much needed, as is silvicultural information and the general work and about life at the college, also the logging railroad could be developed – most disappointing as a venue I thought – lots of potential bearing in mind that the US relied on the lumber industry so much.

if it makes you feel any better, i snuck in for free through the woods. just finished shooting inside this cabin when the rangers came and told me i was trespassing on Federal Land. i gave them that “aww shucks, i didn’t know look” and left.

Superb work JK- I really love the perspective where you look along the lines of the wood floor to the detail in the shot, eventually leading you to the greenery out the window. Excellent capture.

Love the perspective and light here James . This actually looks alot like the house I live in which is 108 years old and is one the original settlers cottages in the township of Uralla in northern NSW. Uralla experienced huge growth when gold was discovered in one of the rivers in the 1800’s.
