Love the feel here! I’ve never seen an old tractor with such a wide wheel base. The differing tones in the iron at the back and the tall weeds so add to this, making it very memorable. Your’e so clever.

This tractor has a wonderful face + the plant life adorns it well. I really like the subtle linear pattern behind the tractor too. A CLASSIC!

Great lighting and tones. Love the perspective – the tractor seems telling its stories to viewers. Thanks for the technical data.

Hey, how did you fine our tractor? Oh well, guess we have done with out it this long….a while longer won’t matter… :o XX
Al Bourassa
I would love to know the use of this specific tractor since the wheels are obviously set at a wider stance.
J.K. York replied
I’m not sure Al about the wheels. I took this in 1987 and doubt its still there for me to ask. The farms in that area grew very simple southern staple crops: tobacco, soy beans, cotton. i will do some research and try and find out!

Wow, the lighting in this one makes a really strong statement. Having grown up in a farm community that’s fallen on hard time, this one really speaks to me.

Hi JK Great image of the 8N Ford Tractor. They were made from 1947 to 1952 and are still very popular. The front end is adjustable so it can be set to a wider or more narrow setting. This one is set pretty wide, most of them are kept on the more narrow setting. I have one just like it that I have had for 15 years and am just now in the process or redoing it, new paint and all. Excellent B&W image especially shot in the dark.
PPPhotoArt
