Jewels of the Serpents Lair

She slips away with the morning
Exfoliating slivers of contentment
Released from their brief tense of alignment primal crystals disengage
Night and day divide

Scent clutches to vertebrae shooting through the primal self
Touch echoes in the reptile brain, convecting, slowly stirring
Smugness slides into place
A sunny place in which to hide

He lingers, overhearing his own conversation
Images furled within deeper globes
Lost within the massive
Regret, remorse, pride

to me it is about rocks, the warmth of the sun and the ancient parts of ourselves wich enjoy the former. In a lovers embrace in the early morning I feel like a sleepy Lizard lying in the sun, totally content…but then the day starts and all is forgotten.
