Jessica Manelis

I recently heard a speaker who suggested we think back to when we were children and tap in to what we thought was fun and what we wanted to be when we grew up. This would be the key to your passion.

I have always wanted to be an artist, and although life has taken me down a slightly different path, I always come back to my creative self.

I have a degree in Illustration from Moore College of Art & Design and worked for several years as a graphic designer. Commuting became un-fun and the job creatively stunting. I decided to move on.

I began taking photographs as a means of gathering reference photos for future paintings and art projects. I found myself on the computer, cropping and manipulating the photos and this proved to be more fun. The results were enticing.
