This is a totem pole carved from a single cedar log measuring over 18 inches in diameter and over 10.5 feet high. It was carved completely using hammer and chisel in the Haida and Tlingit imagery of the Pacific Northwest First Nations Tribal Peoples. The images tell the story of Raven’s desire to steal the Salmon being hidden by Beaver. This image only shows the upper half. The lower half depicts Raven with Salmon in his mouth.
