I am a graphic designer and photographer living in a small town within sight of Dallas, Texas. It’s a unique area, not yet plundered by development, which makes it an excellent venue for viewing wildlife. All of the shots here, save one, are from the road I live on. The road itself is about 12 miles long, only a handful of people live on it and ends in a gravel strip mine. As with the movie, Schindler’s List, it’s not about the road, but what’s on it. The flowers were shot in a makeshift studio I set up when I started seeing all of these weeds begin to flower. There was so much rain that they couldn’t mow the roadsides. Just luck.
