It’s all about capturing a moment in time. About discovering scenes that, when shared, generate interest and appeal.
I am absorbed in the passion for photography and derive great pleasure in being a part of this superb artistic community.

John Butler is a resident of Northern California. A builder, by trade – but spiritually, a naturalist and photographer.

    Awesome work John.

  • I love the simplicity of this message. David was only 12 when he died. Who he was isn’t important, to us today but the act of creating a lasting monument to his passing gave someone closure. Thank You Julie.

Sad one – there seem to be many in the old cemetaries with ‘short chapters’ from this era. Great detail John – I do like the textures you’ve caught in a stone.

  • Thank You Rosalie – This memorial caught my eye and made a more remarkable impression on me than most of the artistic headstones.

Very interesting – you have an eye for detail!

  • Thank You Sandra. This particular memorial seemed to speak to me, more than most others.

When I clicked on this and saw what it said, a twinge of sadness went through me. A powerful photo!

  • Thank You Brenda. You are very perceptive. The simplicity of this monument stirred something inside of me.

  • Thank You Esther – The lichen seemed to amplify the essence of this message. Thanks to all in this wonderful group.
