A big, ol’ glob of Orange Jelly . . . . Fungus. This fungus has a gelatinous/rubbery consistency and is loaded with carbohydrates . Although, it has no actual taste it is an ingredient, ground up or chopped up and added to soups in some parts of the world. Orange Jelly Fungus is a close relative of Witch’s Butter, which looks similar but has a slimy-er consistency.
