A single Valley Oak rises from a sea of Popcorn Flowers. These profuse, white wildflowers are slender, hairy plants with most leaves surrounding the base of the plant. The flower heads coil, slightly at the top of a branchless stem. Ht. – 6" – 20". March – May. South, Central Washington to Baja California – open fields, usually mixed with meadow grasses.
