Artist's Description

Blue Dick (Dichelostemma pulchellum) has a small cluster of light-purple flowers positioned atop a 1 to 2 foot high, leafless stem. Also known as Wild Hyacinth, the Blue Dick is a member of the Amaryllis family. This plant blooms from March through June. These wildflowers grow, mainly on the West Coast of the US, predominantly in Northern and Central California – March – June.
