Child's Hood

Piece of a happy space.

Child's Hood belongs to the following groups:

All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical and WMG

Sticks and stones built my bones
sunsets left tracks along this copper back
sifted wind blown kisses blew right by
and the dust settled along my pithy mettle;
I drew imagination maps in back alleys
of windowed, storybook adobe brick calles
turned kitchen things, like empty bottles
and broken springs
to floating castles and fairy wings
footsteps, goosebumps, youthful springs
curly taupe hair everywhere
apple crumbled ceiling,
bee-bumbled sibling,
aztec art reflected in amber eyes suspected
caravans in sleepy lands, children poles’
bed-sheet tents with spiky heads like
mercurial moles, silk ribbons of laughter that
sachet around the Capricorn panther
heralding night and mystery from
cornered history to morning salvation with
her child’s hood summation.

My lordy, what sublime imagery….I was left feeling carefree and recalling my days of being inventive.

    Brilliant writing…

Oh, it flows so nicely! All the best of childhood, all the innocence and the unique perspective and the imagination. Love it! Fav.
